Network of Regions
The Forum innovates by proposing to establish a multiple and collective institutional space, constituted by key public and private institutional stakeholders who share an interest in applying knowledge and technological innovation to the development of European and Latin American regions.
Regional development is a complex and systemic phenomenon in which many areas and players are involved on different levels. An important group of European and Latin American institutions, which support industry and small and medium-sized companies, have managed to set up processes to improve competitiveness continuously, participate in the development of dynamic advantages and strengthen the multiple links between technology development centres and companies.
These experiences have brought about relevant institutional knowledge. However, this knowledge -often a tacit one- can only reach other institutions and companies as long as close interaction and communication is maintained between them, so that such knowledge may be deepened, shared and adapted to specific local contexts.
